Julian Darius created Sequart.com and remains its owner, editor, and dominant creator. Besides being the sole author of The Continuity Pages proper, he has also authored several other miscellaneous works on this site. His column Sequential Culture debuted with this site in August 2002, and he began The Comics Blotter, a news column, in October 2003. The son of a professor and an ordained minister (the two occupations most likely to produce psychosis in offspring), Julian Darius holds an M.A. in English literature and has presented at numerous scholarly conferences. He is presently studying for his Ph.D. at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he also teaches. He lives on the 27th floor of a skyscraper in Waikiki, where he dreams often of his sweet baby Tatiana, his parents' Welsh terrier who likes to kill squeekies. Matt Martin writes the review column Optic Verve, which dates back to the launch of Sequart.com's predecessor, ContinuityPages.com. His column was quickly picked up to be reposted on slushfactory.com, which was subsequently absorbed into ugo.com, but Sequart.com remains his true devotion. Bryan Miller began his review column, New Comics Day, in August 2003. He wrote previously for savantmag.com. He earns a poor excuse for a living as a freelance writer and holds a staff writer position at Nightlife. He has also sold hotdogs, taught at DePaul University, been the public relations man for a now-indicted politician, done standup comedy and worked in comics retail.
