Sorry it took so long to produce the annotations to #3 (unlike those to #1 and #2, which were posted the day after the issue's release), but the annotations to #3 are still out before #4 is published -- and they are also very long (the longest first draft yet).
Watch for the annotations to #4 -- and tell your friends!

Late September Reviews (Bryan Miller's New Comics Day #5)

In August, ContinuityPages.com received its 300,000th visitor since getting its own domain in mid-to-late August of the previous year.
We're now ranked (according to alexa.com) in the top 3% or so of all websites worldwide.
Thank you from us here at ContinuityPages.com for making this labor of love such a success.
What we do is pointless without you.
It's 6:26 am and I'm finally done annotating Marvel 1602 #2 (released yesterday).
(Scroll down if you're looking for #2 -- it's just after #1 on the same page.)
I've added over 4,000 words to the document tonight, and I think it's time to sleep a little ... before waking up to teach college students Adrian Tomine's Optic Nerve.
Hope you like the annotations, and let me know what you think.
Today, ContinuityPages.com would like to express our sympathy for all of the lives touched, in so many ways, by 9/11.
May we never forget and may such horror never be permitted again, here or anywhere else in the world.

The Continuity Page for Garth Ennis's Preacher has been reposted.

"flinches and daunted awe" -- Being an Historical Collection of Introductions to The Continuity Pages
Congratulations! You're here at the genesis of
ContinuityPages.com, the new website for comic book
scholars, afficianados, and outright junkies. Why is this site so good at its launch? Well,
it just spun off of PersianCaesar.com,
where I hosted it. Well, no more! It's too big for that -- too great to be contained!
We've already augmented things here with this spanking new design (by me), by signing a
reviewer (my good friend, and all around intelligent guy, Matt Martin), and by the addition of a
regular column (details to come)! So thanks for visiting, and let us know how we're doing!
We hope to keep you coming back for years to come!
Original Introduction to The Continuity Pages while at persiancaesar.com (2001)
The propensity for continuity in American comic books, building since the
late 1950s, has led to narratives of inordinate length, however episodic they remain. Moreover,
groups of these long narratives interlock, existing within the same fictional world. Everything
from spin-off series and annuals to specials and the increasingly popular mini-series seem to
occur within one long narrative, yet these smaller narratives retain a sort of separateness that
can be problematic. When a story from one narrative may continue into another, this entire
structure can elicit flinches and daunted awe from even seasoned veterans. The Continuity Pages,
authored by Julian Darius, attempt to reveal the shape of this massive structure, even in parts.
