Introduction
The Hulk is a big green (formerly grey) guy, the alter ego to Dr. Bruce Banner. Most people know him from the TV show, on which Bill Bixby played Banner and Lou Ferigno played the Hulk. I have no idea why this particular version of the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde story has proven so successful over the years (though I hasten to note that Hyde was not a large beast and was noted for his amorality and not strength or rage per se), nor do I understand why readers (and viewers) have tolerated the fact that Banner appearently wears impervious purple underwear four times his own size.
