Introduction Comic book readers have known about the glory of Sin City for some time, but the world suddenly became aware of them as the series was turned into a rather unique movie. With Frank Miller as co-director, the film used Miller's original graphic novels as scripts and often adapted them shot-for-shot. The film remarkably preserved the look of the comics: it was done in black and white with spots of color, and it even got Miller's unique rain right. The film opened on 1 April 2005.
