Mark Millar Era (2004-Present)
In 2004, Marvel relaunched launched an adjective-less Spider-Man ongoing, this one written by Mark Millar with art by Terry and Rachel Dodson. Published through the Marvel Knights imprint, the series focused on adding realism and cast itself as Spider-Man's version of Batman's tremendously popular storyline "Hush": a twelve-issue storyline featuring many villains appearing around a unified theme or story element. In this case, that element would be someone having discovered Spider-Man's identity.
