Marv Wolfman Era, Part 4 (1992-1994) In 1992, the Titans franchise -- already including Deathstroke, the Terminator -- was expanded with a new ongoing entitled Team Titans and starring the characters of the same name, previously seen in New Titans. For the new title's first four months, the three titles' contents were linked to form larger storylines. A special entitled Titans Sell-Out Special was offered to begin the fourth of these months. In early 1994, in three consecutive months, DC would launch three new ongoing titles that were loosely a part of the Titans family. The first was Anima, the female protagonist having been introduced in 1993's New Titans Annual #9. The second was Damage, focusing on a young hero of unknown parental origins who would become a prime player in the following years of Titans history. The third ongoing was Gunfire, the protagonist of which having been introduced in 1993's Deathstroke, the Terminator Annual #2. Half a year layer, as the outskirts of the Titans family of titles was drastically expanding, the core titles were being radically restructured. 1994's Zero Hour crossover provided a convenient time to do so. Team Titans came to an end after just two years. With the month after the crossover, Deathstroke, the Terminator would be retitled, and the team starring in New Titans would radically change. A new direction was upon us.
